Question: I am trying Ortho-Cept I just started taking Ortho-Cept birth control pills - they are supposed to help with skin problems. I have been on it less than a week, and it is either a coincidence or my skin is actually improving. For the women in this club, it might be worth a try. I will try to update on it at a later date to see if it is really helping. Answers: A: Was this prescribed by your derm or another doctor? The reason I ask is that when I had my initial consult with Dr. D, He thought that my acne was hormonal, and for the most part it is. Now along with the Accutane my derm. has prescribed Ortho Tri-Clyclen(which is very similar to my previous pill), for birth control while I'm on the Accutane. I don't want to be on birth control pills for the rest of my life to keep my acne at bay... A: well as I was told by mr Derm as sonnas any woman goes on accutane she is to go on birth control as well. Its kind of an automatic. A: Dr. D told me that he thinks there
should be a trust between me and him, and since I am not sexually
active, and he knows I am "responsible", that he did not
need to put me on the birth control if I did not need
it. I thought, though, since he had mentioned it as a |
